Cages to be Built

Cages to Build for RVS

Cages in the Works:

Here are some cages that I am trying to get built for my RVS certification. I would really like to have them.

In November, I will go for RVS certification course. After the course sometime, I will have an at-home inspection of cages & such.

Different ages/species have different requirements. Cages that house raccoons can not be used to house any other species.

My goal, HOPEFULLY, before my at home inspection is to have the following cages built:

FOR INTIAL INTAKE CARE:

(2) 20 gal size (thereabouts) for infant raccoons intakes

(2) 3’ x 3’ x 3’ for nursling raccoons intakes

(2) 2’ x 3’ x 3’ for adult injured raccoon intakes (at least 2)

(2) 20 gal size (thereabouts) for infant skunk intakes

(2) 2’ x 4’ x 3’ for nursling skunk intakes

(2) 3’ x 3’ x 3’ for adult injured skunk intakes

(1) 18” x 12” x 12” for infant/young bat intakes

(1) 18” x 12” x 12” for injured bat adult intakes

Outdoor cages: (pre-lease) ***

6’ x 8’ x 6’ outdoor kennel for pre-release (raccoons)

6’ x 8’ x 6’ outdoor kennel for pre-release (skunks)

10’ x 20’ x 8’ outdoor kennel for pre-release (bats)

***animals get housed in the outdoor kennels to get them ready to be re-released back to the wild & for infants once they have reached the proper age to become accustomed to the things they are supposed to do)

*** pre-release cages listed above contain minimal size for 1 animal unless otherwise indicated. So more buildings/additions will have to be made. I am sure there will be quite a few raccoon, opossum & squirrel at the least!
