I am still working on the details of the center I am putting together. I am working really hard on all the research & looking for the property that I eventually HOPE to get to put my facility. I have once again found several properties that may work. I need to look more into them & will post more details soon.
Anyone wishing to donate to the Centers progress may also do so as a separate donation from the items above. I will be keeping lists of all donators, but there will be a separate list of those who donate to the construction of the facility. When I have the care center finished, the list of contributors will be hung in there.
We will need a relatively large area, so it is rather hard to come by what I feel will fit our needs.

Found a 60-acre property! How cool would it be to get that & be able to use the majority of that for rehab, or non-releasables?? AND it's only $16000! That is pretty cheap guys!
My ideas for my center include:
Educational Wildlife programs - I hope to have some exhibits & plan to do educational "talks"
I would like to be able to house non-releasable animals
I wan to continue to rehab animals that need me:)
There is no way I can get a loan, I already tried;( So, there isn't much chance of us getting anything soon. If there is anyone that would help build, or donate materials when we have a property, please let me know!

The Center I am working on is part of my Educational section of my wildlife rehabilitation. In part of my educational center, I plan to have several educational animals at the center for educational purposes. It surprises me how many people really do not know much at all about our native wildlife. So, in this way, I am hoping to give them some information that will 1) make them more aware of the things that attracts wildlife they may not want around; 2) how to humanely exclude animals they do not want; 3) general information about NY species (as well as others of the US eventually); 4) Educational programs for kids & schools that will include activities, etc; among other things hopefully!
I already have a lot of the information together for the kids programs, as well as putting together for a brochure.
The property of course is going to be one of the difficult things to get.
If we went with the above mentioned property (as an example) this is something like what we’d have to get together to start the process of getting it:
Closing taxes, etc, would probably be about $6000
We will probably have to have about 20% to get even a thought of it, which would be close to $5000 L As I said, I will look more into the property, & post more details, but just using this one as an example.
I will be contacting the listor of the property & getting all the details. I will be sure that the property will meet regulations for what I want to do, as well.
After we obtain (or begin to obtain!) a property, there is also the business of putting in all the foundation, plumbing, electrical, etc. If there is anyone who is able to donate any supplies, etc for this, please contact me. At the given time, volunteers for help building would be greatly appreciated as well!!
The donators to the Center will also receive various incentives.
$100 donors will get a free visit to the center once we have opened (full details to be posted)
$300 donors will get a free visit for them & their immediate families.
$500 donors will get a free visit for themselves, their families & 2 guests.
$1000 donors will get a year free membership to the Center.
$3000 donors will get a 3-year membership to the Center.
$5000 donors will get a life-time membership to the facility.
Granted this will all take time. All donated monies become property of CeeJaye’s Critter Care & Education.
