CeeJayee's Critter Care & Wildlife Education Center

Rescue, Rehabilitate, Release, Educate

Thank you for dropping by our site, and coming to our educational programs page! Since you are here, I am guessing that you are at least interested in finding out what our programs are like.

I provide school educational presentations, as well as private presentations, such as Cub Scouts. We have gone to Groundhog's Day, at Hudson Highlands Nature Museum as well.

Currently, our programs are very "informal", kind of a "go-with-flow" type of event. This is just until we get a better feel of what types of things are needed.

Depending on where the location is, would regulate a donation fee. While I LOVE to share my information and educate others about wildlife, it does cost gas to get to places, and animals need to be cared for/fed. It is a great educational experience for children to see animals up close.

At this time, we have 1 non-releasable animal, licensed to me through the DEC. Part of the license requires that 12 educational programs a year be given.

Part of the program will cover this animal specifically, in each presentation. He acts as an ambassador for all his wild family. While it is sad that he was not able to return to a wild life, he has a good, safe home, and, it is all he has ever known. In addition to covering woodchucks at presentations, other things that may be discussed may be other wildlife of our area, habits, what not to do, etc. Much will depend on what the people present may want to know about. I do not want to plan out a very specific schedule, so that we can be open to follow what is wanted.

Information will also be given to attendees on how to contact me should they wish further information, or consultation on wildlife. You may contact me via phone, email or snail mail if you choose.

*** Due to regulations of the DEC, the public is NOT allowed to touch any wildlife.
