Welcome to Rage's Page.
"I'm pretty laid back, but I LOVE to play!"
I had a page long ago for Rage on geocities or something. . . but it hadn't been updated in a LONG time. . . in fact, I don't even think I could find it now.
He is an important part of our life, and has been his (almost) 7yrs with us and it is IMPORTANT he has this page. Not just for him, but all his relatives too.

Rage has been with us since he was 4 wks old. When we got him, he was a scrawny, sickly pup. These pics were taken on 10-14-00. He was 1 month & 3 days old. His birthday is Sep 11th, 2000.

In this first pic, you can see how tiny he was. That is one of those small dog toys. He loved those. He still does, but he is MUCH bigger than them now! LOL

His momma died due to blockage - they didn't find out in time to save her & she had to be put down. Another momma tried to care for her little as well as Rage's mom's, but it was too many babies. Even as scrawny as he was we loved him from the first time we saw him. And he came home with us. The guy who owned the dad was awesome! His dogs were awesome . . . and can come up over 8ft fences!! LOL I would love to show him what Rage looks like now!! We named him Rage - not to be funny or anything ill-meaning! He is named after his dad whom he turned out to look quite a bit like!
I would NEVER tell anyone that my dog would not bite - REGARDLESS of the dog's breed. Dog's can have moods & preferences just like people! I NEVER take my dog out w/o a leash - for his own protection. I do NOT allow my children to run up to other people's dogs & "attack" them! Well meaning as they are, not all dogs can handle this type of love & *I* know to teach my kids not to do that. I also do NOT attempt to pet anyone's dog without their ok. Even still, because some OK's you to touch their dog, still does not mean it will not bite. My dog in 6 & 1/2 yrs has never bitten, or attempted to bite anyone - adult or child. However, as I said, I would never have the false assumption that he will not. Rage has also been raised with all types of animals. He does like to PLAY & he will chase things, but he has never HURT or KILLED any other animal. His biggest problem could possible be knocking the kids over with love!! hehehehe
Here is our Akita we had then & Rage Jan 24, 2001. Rage was then 4 mos old. Bear, the Akita, was then approximately 1yr.

Here are a few pics of Bear.
Bear was Huge! Here he is 10-15-00.
But he was little once too! Not as small as Rage though! Jan 25th, 00.
And he grew fast! July 1, 2000

Rage is huge for being short!! He is HUGE chested. He has a good sized neck too. . . which doesn't always make collars an easy thing!

When you look at this face, how could anyone decide that BSL is the way to go???
I LOVE staffies!! I love the short bulkiness they have!! I also LOVE mastiffs, Akitas, Chows, Wolves/hybrids. These dogs are obviously not necessarily for everyone. Another thing to remember is that these dogs often bond VERY strongly to one person/family. Rehoming them can be extremely traumatic, or even difficult. Many people also have belief in myths. Some of these myths include a putbull have locking jaws & the strongest bite force. Pitbull jaws do not lock. They also DO NOT have the strongest bite force. There are many studies out there that show both, but here is an interesting video from one of Brady Barr's shows.
I agree whole-heartedly with Cesar Millan's mentality & teachings.
This is Ace! He is a chow. We had him from 3 & 1/2 mos. These pics were taken on 12-31-98. He was @ 7 & 1/2 mos old. Despite the feelings people have about chows too, he was EXCELLENT with the kids. He loved them.
People are wrongly mistaken if they think BSL only will affect the dogs they are targeting now. I am all for responsible ownership of WHATEVER you choose to have, including dogs, guns, etc. Responsibility & education is going to ultimately make a difference, NOT more bans & laws.
Please stay informed on BSL. It is NOT beneficial to anyone - even if you DON"T own a dog! If you start allowing the government to tell you WHAT dog you can or can not have, what do you think will be next?? It will NOT stop there.
